red joined RCL in August, 2014.

His responsibilities as Executive Director include oversight of the day to day operations, program development and evaluation, fundraising, marketing and other related activities.

Notable Achievements:

  • Starting a business
  • Organizing a non-profit community development corporation
  • Served overseas in the Peace Corps

His Vision:

To help people with challenging barriers find resources and strategies to attain their potential by taking authorship in their lives and building self-esteem. He has dedicated himself to building on the strengths of RCL to transform this organization to an even more effective resource for people with disabilities.

aren joined Resources for Community Living in August, 2000.

She graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Karen co-facilitates RCL’s Social Skills Training group where participants learn a variety of social skills. Karen enjoys hearing stories of progress and success in the lives of RCL participants.

Her responsibilities include oversight and provision of direct services, staff training, Social Skills Training and a variety of administrative tasks.

Ryan Brokamp

yan joined us in August of 2020 after working with the Northwest Suburban Education Organization.

He graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a M.A. in Linguistics. Ryan has worked as a Teaching assistant, assisting in lesson planning, behavior management and engaging students in groups relating to independent living and social skills.

His responsibilities include provision of direct service, intake, and assessment, and coordinating the housing search process and social outings.

Ryan is excited about working with RCL and assisting our clients attain their independent living goals. .
